01By regulation, Chianti Classico requires a minimum of 80% Sangiovese, with possible additions of indigenous and international black grape varieties, and a minimum aging of 24 months, at least 3 of which in bottle. The Cinquecentenario Chianti Classico Riserva from Castello di Verrazzano, in an intense ruby hue, displays aromas that evoke tertiary and spicy notes.

02On the palate, it reveals itself with a enveloping sip and a well-integrated tannic structure, a prelude to dishes such as Bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar stew, or a lasagna with ragù.
