SagrosMontepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC
The Tasting
-
Appearance & Nose
01Paolucci Giovanni, with his Sagros Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, offers us an interpretation that begins with traditionally vinified Montepulciano grapes, then evolves with twelve months of aging in 225-liter barriques, preceded by four months in steel and followed by another four. In the glass, this Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC presents a ruby red color, and on the nose it reveals aromas that speak of its time in wood, while maintaining a note of fresh fruit typical of the grape variety.

Palate & Finish
02On the palate, the extra dry character is felt in its gustatory vivacity, inviting a dialogue with robust and flavorful dishes, such as a creamy cacio e pepe or a roast veal with potatoes.
